Registered a magnitude 2.1 by the USGS. Listening to reports from as far away as outside of Fort Worth and Waxahatchie, I'm surprised there are any structures still standing in West. Most of the energy must have been directed down and up. Sorry for all the lives lost.

My husband picked up there alot, and had friends there.... It was one of his favorite places.

They are saying the West, TX volunteer fire department was fighting the fire when the big explosion happened. The loss of life here is gonna to be heavy.

Preliminary estimates are up to 200 killed on msnbc news. A very sad day indeed. My prayers go out to the West community.
There was an apartment complex leveled and I guess luckily it was in the evening because the high school and middle school are right beside the plant. Their hospital is about 1000 feet away.cricketc Thanks this. -
Wow MSNBC was way off. ABC news is saying 5-15 people were killed. One guy videoed the blast and it knocked him down.
