How come I don’t have much heat on my truck? I have winter front on! And belly tarp when it’s -30 windows go frosty and need to use my Amex card to scrap the window from the inside!! It’s a Westernstar and when I put it in full defrost. There is still decent air flow coming out of the face vents…
Not much heat in c15

It’s possible the heater core is plugged. Check if the truck has water valves on one, or both of the heater hoses, make sure they are fully open.
Diesel Dave Thanks this. -

I had a 2013 that also sucked in the winter.
Eventually I found that the cab heat control cable was mounted too far up the lever on the valve before the heater core. When it was dialed as fully open, the core of the valve only had about an 1/8” of an opening.
I repositioned the cable lower down on the arm of the valve , this gave the control dial in the cab the ability to rotate the valve further, so it fully opened.
I was nice an toasty after that.Magoo1968 Thanks this. -

Just to clarify, is hot air coming out of the dash and floor vents? But not coming out of the defroster vents?
