Yes they run a tandem axle tractor with a 53' SC and also an m2 with a 45'SC trailer, they haul sprinters up and then load the m2/45 onto the 53 and piggyback them back to Laredo. Neither trailer has any lift decks.

I am not sure which is worse, Swift hauling cars or you having to be in NY city area!

I saw an ad for I believe it was Pride is getting in to the sprinter game also. Don't know if it was new or an old ad.

Ya whoose, nothing more thrilling than going across GW bridge into the tunnel at the end, the lanes all tighten up and it's every man for himself, kill or be killed. You just left the normal world, forget every courtesy anyone taught you, everyone around you did. Be glad you're not in Boston.
Your mission is clear, deliver and get the hell out of Dodge before sunset. Get in, get out and then appreciate how good it is to live somewhere else.

I saw this setup pretty regular when I was running the Midwest with a 5 car Sun Country...
They were hauling into Knapheide in Quincy, IL..

I feel for you guys that are hauling cars now, I bailed and went back to being a door slammer....It pays as much and some weeks better than I was making on that 5 car and a lot less work..

Speaking of get out of dodge before sunset.
I was in New Orleans one Friday many years ago and planned to stay the night and party. I asked the old guy who was loading my rig where I should go to hang out. I was 20 something at the time and he said "young man you will be at the bar talking to what you think is a nice young lady and later you will find out she is a man, you need to get out of this town before the sun goes down"! He scared me so bad I almost made it home that night. 20 plus years later I still haven't been to New Orleans to party, but I have heard it is a great town with awesome food.

VTech, Terry270, crb and 2 others Thank this.
