So she got your info, but you didn’t get her’s and you didn’t call the police to report a hit and run.
Got it.

I know 2 people that this has happened to... Its purely a money grab attempt... It Will be imperative that your version of the events is exactly what it says in the original report from when It happened... If it deviates enough they will try to say you are lying. This is exactly why I keep an "Incident Notebook" in which I write down my account of ANY incidents that I may be involved in, I write this information down as soon as possible after the incident as I can... Then I sign and date it. If I am ever questioned about an incident I will not say anything until I have that notebook in my hamds and can read my original account word for word... This way you dont forget any details, as they are already wrote down.
Lostmykey, TokyoJoe, NavigatorWife and 8 others Thank this. -
Better to keep quiet and let people think you’re stupid, rather than open your mouth and remove all doubt -
If he called the police and reported a hit and run and got a police report he would be sleeping well tonight.

He also said he reported it and I want to say the sheriff came too.
Trucker2307 Thanks this. -
To clear up any doubt on WHO it was reported to, I called local PD, then informed dispatch. Waited for PD to arrive on scene at which point she left. Yes. Left in the vehicle that was "totaled beyond repair." Worked for that company up until May of this year. Had heard nothing of it since date of occurence until today at 820 pm.
