i have 1982 international day cab with a ntc-270 cummins, it just dont have the power like it use to and last week i went to start it and it blows white smoke like crazy, has a little miss in it around 1800 rpm then if you just dump the throttle on the floor board the smoke turns black. the hose coming off the turbo going to the intake has engine oil running out of it and you cant hear the turbo spool up like you use to could. does anyone know if i'm having injector problems with the white smoke or is there a oil in the turbo gone bad? any help will be greatly appreciated.

The engine is over fueling from lack of boost pressure causing all the smoke and misfire. The oil on the intake side of the turbo verifies a turbo failure. Replace the turbo and you'll be good to go.

You're welcome. Sounds like you have an Ex UPS truck with a 270 HT engine. I should have mentioned, if any parts of the turbo impeller are missing then you should pull the intercooler and clean it and the intake manifold.
