    Hello,

We are O/O and currently leased with a Company, they are ok, but with a good truck and being young I think I'm not making what I'm supposed. We are planning to start getting our loads and doing everything by us. When we start we lease with a small company and it was horrible.. I know the better way to do business is doing everything by us. Any advice, recommendations are very welcome.

Advice.... Why are you paying to lease when you're doing everything?!?!

    Get your own authority!

    .

    Tatymar06 Thanks this.

So, I get my own authority and I can start getting my loads by myself? I know I need to get my insurance, open the business and get my loads, something else?

I send my set up packet to several brokers I want to work with,MC certificate, insurance,W 9 form and what everelse they require.I don't use a factoring company but some do,you might even want to look at a Factoring/dispatching company to help find loads.
They will handle the paperwork for you when you pickup a load and send the BOLs and invoice to the shipper after you have delivered. they will pay you for the load minus a percentage that way you are not wating for 30 days for your pay.

    Tatymar06 Thanks this.
