    This is going to be a complete process post on averitt express. I applied for TL but ended up switching to DG account. I don't mind tight spaces or unloading.
    I done all the homework on averitt I can. Some good reviews and some bad. Averitt's professional appearance first got my attention.
    The hiring process has been great so far. I will update this post through out the process.

    First off, wish you the best. DG's are really brutal, you almost have to be "Herculean," so I've heard. Never done a one....but i'm not 21 (or 31 or ...nevermind, LoL!)

    Second, document everything. @TROOPER to TRUCKER got "rolled over" badly by them, and I don't mean by his truck.... read his posts!

    Third, good luck in your venues, and I'll watch for updates.

    Congratulations, I've been with Averitt for over 11 years now. I've been in truckload, dedicated ( Brach candy, dollar general, Cracker Barrel and Cabinart), and am currently in the ltl division.

    I've been with Avrt for over 17 years. It's a good company. I wouldn't do Dollar General on a bet. It's too much work and not enough pay for me. Good luck.

    Well TL is less work but less money. They told me TL was averaging 2000 miles a week. At 40 cents a mile. That's not enough money for me

    I have been with Averitt for 3 1/2 years. Started on the Dollar General account in Scottsville,Ky,
    DG is not bad but one thing for sure is you will earn every dollar you make.
    I did it for 19 months then transferred over to the Federal Mogul account for a few months, then I transferred over to the Colinx account in to a day cab position.
    One good thing is you only have to be in a position for only 6 months then you can transfer to another position
