Anybody got a preferred route from Ogden, Utah to Oklahoma City?

Looks like there's plenty of options. Only have 23k in the box, so I might need to avoid I-80 if the winds are up. Seems like they are always up.

Just came up from Albuquerque through Ogden a few days ago heading west.

The route I took wasn't bad. Took 550 from just north of Albuquerque up to near Farmington, over to Shiprock, up 491 to 191 to I70 to 6 to I15.

I reckon I could reverse that route and just take I40 from Albuquerque to OKC.

    Any thoughts?

Don’t take 287 to 40, so Bosie City go east 412-270-40.

Thats how I would do it. I was virtually based in the SLC area for the last year.

80, hwy81, 135, 35. I always avoid CO with just ~70mi difference and better roads.

If avoiding I-80 is the goal, I have run down from Provo, thru Green River UT, then down thru Moab to Albuquerque where you catch 40 to OKC. As long as the weather isn't snowy, it's a beautiful drive.

Apparently lots of drivers have been told to burn the furniture instead of use US 6. I never had problems on 6. Once the tourists are gone it is beautiful.

I've had enough of traffic lights on it during one time I went through to see what is it. I'd go 25 any time even across dreaded CO with only 100 mi extra, which is less time, than hopping that hwy.
