Oil field exemptions

    Anybody have info on oilfield hours of service exemptions?

    Sure, make out your pre-trip and go for it. What service exemptions? No log book needed out here.

    i think he is referring to line 5 off duty on wellsite

    what you will do is basically any time your on standby go down to line 5. log line5 and sleeper birth. this does not count against any of your hours. you can also split your 10 hour break. into two periods using your time on line 5. no one of the two parts of your 10 hour break can be less than 3 hours (it might be 4)

    within 100 mile radius all you need is a pre trip inspection. i only log if i'm crossing state lines.
