Hi,
I own a volvo VNL 780 2006 (d12 engine).
My oil pressure gauge shows 90 psi even when the engin is not running. I mean, I turn the key to on and it show 90 psi.
I changed the sensor last week but no change.
I also did a cluster test and everything seems normal.
The connector to the oil pressure sensor had no oil and is clean.
Do you have any idea what else to do?
Thanks.
Oil pressure very high

Krasnii have you checked the raspredval ?
Newto Trucking Thanks this. -
The gauge is more likely bad but if you bring it to the dealer and have them check the op, through the computer, they can tell you exactly whats wrong.
By the way the op gauge operates through the ecm. -

A volvo dealer mechanics told me there is another oil pressure sensor.
I checked everywhere but it doesn't seems to exist. -
I think when the engine beake actuator valve is broken pressure would go very high and stay like that. Altogh with the engine off there is no pressure to be shown on the guage. You either have some electrical issue or the cluster is malfunctioning.

Oil pressure sensor is bad behind alternator on the block two sensors bottom one crankcase psi top oil psi replace both much easier cuz crankcase psi usually acts up and shuts truck down
