I am graduating on 04/20/2017 with twic, tanker and hazmat endorsements looking for my first trucking job. Could you seasoned pros point me out in the right direction. Which companies are hiring and offer good pay.. I live in Houston, Texas.

Try C&J Energy out of the Kenedy TX yard. Hauling water to start, but you will make plenty of money. They also offer free housing, and are looking for drivers. That particular yard has never slowed down the past 5 years.

    Gabru Thanks this.

You could also try Movac service company.

    They'll hire trainees, with housing.

I would say gross $2,500 every two weeks. Some checks more, some less.

I would also like to point out that I was answering the new drivers question. I already see where this is going, so remember, he is a new driver about to graduate his CDL training, not a seasoned vet like yourself.

I understand completely. But for only around 1250 a week for working oil field he should just do over the road you can make that over the road, Texas has low pay.

Being a vac truck driver is ####ing cake, way easier than OTR and less stressful.
