hmmm...well that is the million dollar question.....i havent really had dealings personally with any of the big companies...and since i haul dirt, i dont talk to any oilfield guys....CB may be able to answer that...but i cant...sorry...i know all the big guys are here tho...nabors, globe, hallibutron, basic, key , cudd.....i mean there are TONS of companies here....just housing isnt easy to come by....and of course they all expect you to work 70+ hrs a week....

well look wat the cats drug in..... lol yea have not been on in awhile....
giggs driving me crazy to get back
on..
hey how has everyone been, i have just been being LAZY, been off work for about 2 weeks, conoco shuts down this time of year till new budget comes out..
but really all is still good LOVE my job, boss, and wat i do, we have hit a little rough patck cuz of wat time of year that is, but we all know that is truckin.. and even the oilfield no different!!!!!!
i hope everyone is staying safe and avoidind the SWIFT DRIVERS roflmbo just kidding realax all... but all jokes aside, remember stay safe and be strong dont let some STUPID dispatcher sitting in a warm cozy office try to push you down the road its not worth it...
now my to cents.... some on here might tell you to chain ohh yea i said it.. the chain word.... but here goes i have been driving almost 30 years only chained twice... and for those who will attack I HAVE NEVER REPEAT NEVER MISSED OR DELIVERED LATE........... let the cowboys go on... if they are that gung hoe on chaining go ahead.. now that being said those who are good enough or PROUD of chaining go ahead but those that dont, dont give them grief.. doesnt make you or them a better driver those that do chain i do hope... you dont get too ####y just try to remember we all started somewhere.... the same ones will attack every year ...
wat im trying to tell the younger drivers dont let dispatchers or other drivers alike to try to get you to do something your not comfortable with and IT DONT MAKE YOU LESS OF A DRIVER... the ones that want to go ahead the ones that dont.. then dont its your life in my opinion the drivers that TRASH other drivers are as stupid as the cozy little dispatcher in an office sooo do wat you feel is SAFE ok, ok thats my well several cents be safe yall.. c.b.LaBubba, Giggles the Original, HeWhoMustNotBeNamed and 1 other person Thank this. -
But it's about darn time you decided to make a post on your own thread! Two weeks off and you're just not showing up. That takes a lot of guts, man. I was literally going to go all ballistic on this place and totally blow it to smithereens! Do you feel scared, man?! Do you feel the fear??? Don't worry, I don't know what I'm talking about either. And trying to figure it out will only give you a migraine. (Giggles, I don't think CB is ever going to see this post. Quick, add something about him!!)
Chaining isn't too bad. I'm my own experiences the majority of the hills that I had to climb had snow at the higher elevations. And once you're able to descend below the snow line then it's smooth sailing from there. And am I the only one that seems to enjoy the constant "ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch" sound of the chains going across packed snow (or wet pavement if you're in CA no thanks to CalTrans.....)
Also, post some pictures if you can! That would be pretty neat. Stay safe out there in the oil fields!Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
well we dont have a problem with ppl that chain....its those that think they need to belittle those that dont....
anyway...i read him your post...LOL, he laughed..and i read him your msg on my page....who knows when he will be back....
we are being lazy today....its back to work tomorrow...well for him it is...i have a safety meeting to attend in the morning..YUCK....if you knew how things were here (where i work)...a safety meeting?? ha ha thats funny...didnt know they knew what those were....(they probably dont)....
so where ya at?? you probably told me in your PM but i dont remember....
hey Rugerfan.....i see ya down there....must be reading thru the thread....JimDriv3r Thanks this.
