Truck drivers put their life on with line and sleep in a truck. One mistake and a life can be lost.
We deserve many many multiples of what a Broker makes.

If you base what you make off of what someone else makes- your value is based on them, not you. If you can’t sell your services for more than they can, they are the ones bringing value.

Besides: you were the one crying you couldn't make money last year/ how are you still in this industry when you were failing at the time complete shmucks were making it happen?

Sounds like it’s foolish of you to keep driving at this point. You’re leaving a ton of money on the table not being a broker. That’s where the easy money is, go get it.

Why don't those that complain about what a broker makes just put in the effort to get their own direct freight. Oh, that's right, they could treat a direct customer like they do a broker.

The only thing you deserve is payment as agreed.
Did somebody point a gun at you and force you to be a trucker? If I was as miserable as you seem to be I think I'd change professions.
How long will it be before you finally go broke and accept the inevitable?

It's not always about the money.
I enjoy the traveling aspect of being a truck driver, see and experiencing different things.
Every now and then I'll take a little time off in a new city and go out and do new things in that area. I don't have a family soo it makes that part easier.

People can agree to work for breadcrumbs sure and they deserve what they get in doing so.
The more willing to do that however does affect others more and more.
    I'm still doing okay.

Yet every few days you are either creating a thread, or a post, to whine about things. We are not cops or the military. "Risking our lives." That was hilarious to read. Every business person tries to pay as little and get paid as much as possible. If you spend more time worrying about yourself and your loads. Instead of complaining poor me. You might be doing even better than you say you are currently. Maybe one day you'll surprise us and post something positive. Instead of always telling us the sky is falling.

    .

I find it hilarious you replied saying "we are not the cops or military Risking out lives" but meanwhile being a truck driver is routinely ranked at or near the top of being the most deadliest jobs.

Top 25 most dangerous jobs in the United States

And there’s an article from 2020 showing drivers are number 7. I guess by using your logic loggers should be paid more than anyone else on that list since they’re number 1.

The point is, nobody “deserves” more because we all choose to do this job. If you feel that your compensation isn’t comparable to the risk then you’re free to make a change.
