well after many years my old CB finally died.
Who makes a good CB these days?
I really haven’t paid much attention and out of 3 people I asked I got 3 different responses so I was hopeing to get a little more feedback.

    The 3 recommendations so far
    Stryker
    Galaxy
    President Walker

    Timin770 Thanks this.

I've been reading good things about the Anytone 5555 and the Anytone Ares. They are both reasonably priced (under $250) and have update capability, do about 50-60 watts and have good receive.

I have a Bearcat 980SSB and I love it. Completely stock, but does great out of the box. Has the ability for a wireless mic if you're into technology like that. Weather, SSB, etc.

I came from a 29LX, and I like this one a lot more.

It’s an old midland, think we got it around 78 to 80 just around the time everyone was upgrading to 40 channels.

I don’t want all kinds of fancy crap just a good solid cb that’s easy to use and won’t need replaced every few years

Now days when someone ask about a good CB radio, I recommend the Uniden PC78LTX. Simple to use and good reviews.
