On my way

Well I am on my way to orientation today for us xpress.Heard good and bad......Just need to do my year somwhere lol..Even if I just take that time to think about what else i would like to do..I am only 23 so I am trying to find my little nich in life lol....I could always go from reserve status to active duty,but thats a last resort lol...I just hope I can get in a year no problems and go from there...I will let you guys know whats up..I am not expecting the world from these guys,just some money and expirience lol....

 

Thanks..No I am in the army reserves.My reserve unit is in meadeville PA.Well they hired me..I wont be goin out till after christmas though..Orientation was ok..The rumor about the bunkhouse is not true..There wouldnt be a need to get a hotel..The road test was fairly easy...It mostly consisted of paperwork and classroom stuff.They were nice people for the most part.They do go into your backround pretty heavily down there..Make sure to bring everything you need.They will make you get ahold of the IRS to verify certain things(previous self employment,ownership of a bussinness) and a handful of other things...Dont expect anything you told your recruiter to be in their system when you get there.They only feed you once a day.One thingthat suprised me was there was only about 15 of us there..3 were rehires.I was expecting 50+ people to be there lol..All in all it seemed ok..I did find out that out of route miles are a dollar a mile.....And some guys showed up to get on a dedicated route they were told they were qualified for,only to get there and have them say there was none available..There recruiter said otherwise though..So they told them if they wanted to leave they would pay for their ticket home..The company has its low points..I just need a year from them though lol...
