I don't have HPB but I know that Cucumbers are excellent for high blood pressure and they're like my favorite food. They're easy to keep on hand, easy to peel, perfect portion. And I like to dash on Malt Vinegar which also has health benefits.

Guys, all kidding aside, let me tell you what my old man use to do for HBP which he 'apparently' had and I say 'apparently' because I don't really have a lot of faith in pill-pushing doctors.

Aside from his meds and watching what he ate somewhat, whenever he went for his DOT exam he drank ICE water and sucked on ice chips, right up to when he got to the exam.. He had a BP cuff and checked his numbers in the waiting room and and it would be pretty close.

So, he said that works. And who am I to say because I love ICE water everyday.

Almonds are a good quick snack. Go to Sam's club and get the big bag. Also at Sam's club they have the big bag of cranraisins. Cranberrys that look like dried raisins. They're good and makes a quick healthy snack.

    Re: Big Sunday Dinner

I've made one of those Hormel Pork Roasts in a Lunchbox oven. Potatoes, onions and carrots too. About 3.5 hours in an oven bag. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1375065716.607964.jpg

After about 2 hours it started smelling pretty good in there. Kinda like mom's house Sunday night. It's pretty hard to keep driving for that extra hour and a half.

I find this being the most challenging as a truck driver besides being away from wife n kids for a month at a time.

I bring lots of water and dry foods very fee cold foods my cooler works but im afraid to eat wnything after 5days out of it because temp seems to go up n down and usually freezes up once a wk. And needs defrosted.

I buy fresh foods once a wk from Walmart and stock up on everything else once a month when im at home

Walmart sells these tv dinners you can microwave or throw in ur lunchbox iven but most of them twdte horriable
