Didn’t see a separate section for generator issues, maybe someone here has more experience.
7.5HDKAT - 41934R
Has 4000 hours on it.
Changed oil and filter on it last month, then hadn’t used it since. Went to start it using the Command 30 remote - no start, no red light on switch when pushed.
Go to unit - no red light when switch pushed to prime or start. No fuel pump clicking - nothing.
3 DC fuses under switch panel good, and 13V to either sides. AC breaker on. Pulled rocker switch and tried another. Same result.
13 V to starter solenoid. All good.
Looking at the block that connects to the back of the rocker switch, it’s a block of 8, of which 5 have pins in them.
Top left and Top Right are ground. Next 3 down on the right are, 10.2V - GROUND - 10.2V.
I’m wondering if there’s a protection circuit that’s grounding one of these pins - like a low oil pressure switch.
Like I say - no red light at switch,
I replaced the high temp coolant sensor a couple of months back, as it would intermittently shut down. That fixed that problem, and I ran it 100 or so hours afterwards.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing I would check is to make sure it's got good clean positive and negative connections to the batteries. If it does, I suggest disconnecting the remote switch wiring from the generator (it's probably connected with a Weatherpack connector) and then see if it will start using the switch on the generator. If it still doesn't start, I'm pretty sure the start switch light should blink with a trouble code and you can look that up to see what it means.
And if you can't figure it out, you can call 1-800-CUMMINS (1-800-286-6467) and speak to someone in tech support. I've done that a few times over the years for our Quiet Diesel generators and they've been pretty helpful.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
FOUND THE PROBLEM!
And there’s the solution!!! -
Looks like a serious solution!!! Repacking the whole unit seems a bit rash? Lol

I got tired of alternative apu solutions that always had some pia to go with it ....gas cans etc .
Electric apu was a pos .
Finally surrendered and bought a carrier diesel apu and happy with it.
