    I haven't hauled spuds since the early 90s but I do remember some very hefty fines being handed out and nobody would let you out heavy after that .

    Few times I’ve had to “change course” to detour around scales in Wisconsin,in particular the I-39 scales near Colona because of heavy potato payloads going to the Walmart DC in Tomah. The paperwork would say 38-39,000 pounds but it sure didn’t feel like it with the spring suspension on most of those trailers,not to mention the suspension gauge in my truck would say otherwise...
    Gotta love backhauls!lol
