Went and visited my brother and sister in law a month ago in Tennessee. They were originally planning to build a home in Medon but because of the tariffs they ended up buying a new spread in Milan,in Gibson County instead.

 

Yes it was a pretty decent area. It looked like they’re building condos and townhouses near the US-45E corridor.
The property taxes are like a drop in the bucket compared to what my brother was paying in Illinois. When he lived in Sleepy Hollow,IL he was paying $12,500 in property taxes annually(for approximately 2 acres). When he moved to Milan he was paying
$600 annually for almost 10 acres!

I nearly #### myself when an old friend moved back to Michigan told what they pay in tax , wife retired from GM , he was a plumber too , go figure , but theys property tax now in Michigan is aboot 5700$ twice a yr vs. 950 per yr in TN. 5 acres in TN 2.3 in Michigan. I told'em they were nuts but thets where all the family was .

 

I tell people you gotta break out of your comfort zone before it’s too late and go see this world and see different places. In my humble opinion the world is in a major changing dynamic. So many western cultures are in decline for various reasons while eastern cultures (China etc) are not. It’s just a fact. Yes, you have to go through some steps to get a visa to get into China, but it’s not that difficult. I challenge anyone to go to China to put your boots on the ground and actually look what they’re doing over there. It will blow your mind. Literally. Are they going to pass as up? in many ways they already have but time will tell. They are doing some incredibly innovative stuff over there. Korea as well. South Korea, I should say. It was just announced a few days ago that South Korean women are expected to have the longest longevity of all humans on the planet going forward. They have their stuff together over there. Japan Has always had it stuff together. You’ve never seen a city so clean and well mannered and kept. You feel like you can sit down and eat off the sidewalk. Third World Asian countries are not without their plate full of offerings as well. A step back in time if you will. Fun, personable, mom and pop, restaurants and shops everywhere. People happy to see you and get to know you. Their poor, but happy and live life at their own pace.

AI, Automation and robots are going to literally change every aspect of everything we’ve ever known on this planet and it’s going to happen right before your eyes. 80 to 90% of all surgery procedures will be done by robots within the next three years and it will be done better and more precisely than any human could’ve ever dreamed of. The average IQ of an AI right now is sitting around 200. In three years it is expected to be at an unmeasurable amount surpassing 10,000 which is incomprehensible to humans. Knowledge will be everywhere and at everyone’s fingertips. You won’t have to pay for it anymore. It goes without saying once this happens everything changes.

I don’t know if I agree with it, I don’t know if I like it yet, but it’s coming. They have already restructured and reprogrammed DNA to reproduce cells in rats, monkeys and mice to reverse aging. And human trials are now beginning. It is estimated that if you keep yourself healthy and live for another 10 years, there’s a good probability you might live another 200+ years. Literally.
