I hope they lose and everyone goes on elogs, even the old trucks.
Solely because of the crybabys who commented on that story.
Every OOIDA driver always says it's only the elog drivers racing through the construction zones and they have to because they can't stop their 14 hour clock like us drivers that use paper logs. ;/

I hope the attorneys approach The Justices and ask the question, " Would your honors like a machine to tell you when you can study a case? Would you like to have to stop what your doing simply because the machine tells you to? Would you like to get a jump on the day, but a machine tells you that you must wait? Were you walking to your home in your front yard, would you like to sleep on the lawn, because a machine tells you to stop walking because you don't have enough time allotted to make it up to your bedroom?"

Let me argue this case. I'm just a dumb driver.

I don't really have an issue with the elog mandate. But I think they should allow a little flexibility in the rules. For instance, one shipper I continuallyget held up for 6 to 8 hrs there. Sometimes I sleep and sometimes I don't. Just depends on the day I guess. But once I go on duty to get loaded or of I've already been driving that day. It's be nice to be able to stop the clock. The other situation I run in to quite often is running out of time 20 to 40 miles from my home. Usually because of bad weather or traffic. I think it's BS that I have to take a 10 hr break to legally get home for the weekend.

By a tired elog driver who just came off his 34 hr restart break, in which he partied and stayed up most of the time during his break ;-)

Truck drivers don't kill people. Mega carriers, that put money ahead of public safety, steering wheel holders kill people.

You want to go through life without any spirit. Great that's your choice. It's not my choice.

Can you imagine if the president could only work 70 hours in 8 full days? LOL. I think Trump said he only needs like 4 hrs a sleep a night, has been doing that most of his working life.
