The chances of CARB Enforcement bothering you or setting up shop is very low, just drive on down and you'll be fine.

From Eugene OR take I5 south to OR 58 E to US 97 S then pick up CA 139 to US 395 S. No scales on that route in California. then go east on I80 and south on 95 to Vegas and points south.

Scottie, that is the route we take. I really try to avoid California like the plague also, but sometimes get stuck going to the Bay area. So far never had a problem, but I don't make a habit of it. Looking to sell one of my trucks, as I have friend who keeps asking to buy. Thinking of just biting the bullet and selling it and getting one truck that can run Cali and be compliant. Luckily, most of the issues such as EGR valves and coolers, and dpf filters I should be able to limp it home to work on it in my own shop. Not too hard to fix these things or diagnose, just a headache. Also irks me that after 7 years, they cant make an EGR valve or cooler that seems to last more than a couple of years. DPF filters don't seem too bad unless you break one.Luckily I have a place in town I can take them to be cleaned.
