I have never bought beer in my hometown and transported to my home after a few weeks on the road. Living 15 miles from the nearest store on a 2 lane country road. I never wanted to just get the beer so when I got home I could clean out the truck, start laundry, get a shower and rest.
In all seriousness I never consumed alcohol in my truck. I have rested in the truck for at least 24 hours after consuming alcohol once or twice. I prefer to be able to get a hotel room for at least 2 nights, get my laundry done, maybe my husband and I will Uber to a bar on the first night, then chill out the next day.pagan22, stacks and Pamela1990 Thank this. -

This subject has been gone over so many times, and there really is still no definitive answer. Bottom line is if you’re in your bunk having a couple beers and you’re not driving until it’s completely out of your system, you’re fine. Just keep in mind you better be darn sure you’re not parked somewhere that someone could ask you to move your truck. I only drink on my days off. I just prefer to avoid it all together out on the road.
I know many drivers that when they have an extended amount of time to sleep in the next morning will park at a casino or something like that and tie one on for the evening and then sleep in and drive the next day. Some companies don’t care, some won’t let you park at the casinos because they know what people are going to do. Lol it all just depends. -

I saw a trucker/youtuber who had a 12 pack of beer in his trucker fridge on video. Couple of things, it better be your own truck and you better be on private property. Also, turn off your phone in case the drug testing consortium calls and says it's time for your drug/alcohol test. As you know, once they call you, you have one hour to report for your test.
I recall one trucker made a thread on here years back for having boxed wine on her truck. She would have a couple drinks from it after her shift was over every day. It was discovered and she was on TTR looking for a job.
Understand, today, there is a drug/alcohol government clearinghouse that has every CDL holder in it along with all your records. You get popped for anything and it shows up there, you will have 12 tons of trouble getting a driving job.Gearjammin' Penguin and pagan22 Thank this. -
I think people should mind their own business, but if you can't go three to five weeks without a drink you might want to reassess your relationship with alcohol.
