The same I-20 scales in SC had a dozen SUV DOT inspectors there today...that's a tiny coop to have that many inspectors.

Never seen them pulling that many in or a line like that on the ramp.Jenn72 Thanks this. -
Punta Gorda , wildwood and the 95 north bound at the top of the state were hitting it hard with inspections.
Also all 95 northbound Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland scales were hard at it.
Also when I crossed over to 81 in pa they had a lot of the rest areas scales open and inspecting.
Luckily I was traveling in my car so no inspection for me lol.homeskillet Thanks this. -
Now the real blitz started today Sep 9-11. Do they work all night or just daytime?

I drove over 600 miles yesterday. Right at sunrise I saw about a dozen DOT troopers sitting at an exit by Sweetwater, TX. They were all just there and were not pulling anyone over yet. Didn’t see a single one after that the rest of the day.
The article I read said they were focusing on driver requirements like checking licenses and medical cards. What is interesting about that is my state has waivers for both due to Covid. As long as they expired after March you are good driving on expired ones I believe.Wasted Thyme Thanks this. -
Pennsylvania is hot right now. I80 E Knox, PA. That big scale is open. I81 S Mountain top, PA, the southern scale is open!?!? What?
Not so much in NY but regular police are pulling people over for speeding.Brettj3876 Thanks this. -

I was down by Houston today. They were everywhere on 10. Seemed like they were focusing on hot shot rigs. I saw an inspection station with six pickups and goosenecks pulled in for inspection and not a single big truck. I guess their ticket count wasn’t high enough on the first two days of the blitz so they decided to go for the low hanging fruit today. I bet 50% of the goosenecks don’t have anything legal.
