I just went through a weigh station and my trailer read 36k.... but I didn’t get stopped. Didn’t look like anyone was home. Should I expect something in the mail we have prepaid but it was pulling everyone in.

I was behind a guy at the TN scale at AL/TN line today and he was 36000 and the scale said he was 36000 on his tandems and they let him go.....no you wont get anything in the mail....

Edit to add: Come to think of it this same scale also let me go this morning too..... they were pulling a lot of trucks across the scale. I had my flip axle down and they could've given me a kingpin law ticket.

I think some of those western states will allow you extra on drive or trailer axles as long as you re not over gross. Don t quote me on it though, I could be wrong too

If you are heading to California you better get it right before you get to the Truckee scale.

Very true. They don't let much get past them and they have no sense of humor.

Keep an eye on your mail. Don't listen to the mob. I got a ticket in PA that I didn't sign for. Got mailed. I was out for 90 days. Safety called me saying I had a warrant. Long story. Bottom line...if you broke the law keep an eye on your 6. Probably nothing to worry about but the story is long.

If nobody was home keep on trucking. The limit in most situations is 34. However depending on the weighmaster they may give you some leeway. However 36 is a bit of a stretch. I advise you to be careful with this.
