I have put together a list of requirements and I am not sure if I have them all covered. Any opinions on missed requirements or one's not needed would be a help. I am now financially ready (if that's possible lol). and ready to start with these. I am operating out of ONTARIO, CANADA. I am hunting for a truck and will most likely lease a trailer for now if I find a good trailer agent.

Where's the liability, cargo, collision uninsured/underinsured motorist insurance and workmans comp? What about fuel?

You have to have insurance to get your MC and IRP

I suggest you do not get a trailer yet. I would push you into running power only for a company first. Until your business is at least 1 year old the higher paying brokers will not deal with you. That being said you do want to get your trailer as soon as your first year is up.

Check with Landstar about Power Only. I pulled for Pam and then USA Truck. They we good but lower pay. I understand but have not put a truck on with Landstar that they pay much better.

Again, this is not leasing on to a company but pulling power only loads.

Thanks. I am just trying to add it all up. Hoping $30000 after buying the truck is enough to get me started. I haven't got back any insurance quotes yet so my fingers are crossed.
