What company has the best prices? I'm running into $16000. A year policies. We have always run 26001 plates. Got out of it for a little over a year, closed our authorities in good standing and now we are trying to get back into the industry. Looking impossible if these are the only quotes I can get for commercial trucking insurance.
Thanks in advance for any referrals.
    We are in Michigan.

E and Y insurance in Troy, MI, ask for Sarra. 12-20k for new authority last I heard and your only options are Berkshire or Progressive

Pick up a free magazine at a truck stop. Look in the back. Worth a shot.

14 yrs driving with no accidents or tickets. New business, new truck (180k) in Cali. Hauling local heavy construction equipment and 300 mile radius. 200k cargo paying 12800 a year. Try and find a broker and have them do the work for you. Probably helps my dad has used the same broker for 10 plus yrs. Plus my credit score is over 750, not sure if any of this makes a difference...

It makes a big difference. I have 4 yrs experience, newer equipment, and a great credit score and my first year ins quote with 1M/100K was just over 10K. I was expecting 15-20k..
