i have a 2014 KW T660 with the Paccar MX13 motor
Noticed the other day the pressure would sometimes swing from about 60-80
Had the oil changed to see if a dirty filter could be the cause
Still does it but not constantly
I’m thinking a sensor of some sort
Any ideas?

Most likely a sensor.

Check to see if your oil sensor is leaking. Here's a video showing where its at. And how to get to it. Heard of a couple that had your issue. And that sensor was the issue.
-
I changed the oil sensor. Still doing the same thing
Could it be the gauge itself?tnpete Thanks this. -
Not to revive an old thread here, but did you ever figure out issue GYPSYS65? I have changed sensor and still have same issue you had.
-
Changed it. Still have it
Seems more so after oil change. One place changed the oil and handed me what looks like maybe a bushing that goes in the smal oil filter holder??
If that’s the case. Maybe that filter isn’t spinning freely?? -
I'm not entirely sure. Last nights guy changed out filters he said. No codes and she idles about 75 psi and with a bit of throttle shoots up to 95. Have changed sensor and still nothing. From what i know, no change in type of oil or microns on filter. Crankcase seems to be ventilating correctly. Just stumped on this one.

I'm having a similar issue as you guys. The oil pressure gauge reads over 100 PSI though. If I'm sitting things are ok, but when I start moving I've started having an intermittent check engine light. It's there when parked and I rev the engine and I finally got the computer to tell me it has an issue with the oil pressure, but I'm not seeing any evidence of that otherwise.
The gauge by the way goes straight to 100 as soon as I turn the key, so I know there is sensor issue of some sort.

I have a cummins that's reading 90 PSI. That is after changing out the sensor. It was showing low pressure. Shop found the gauge was not getting ground.
He also told me he had worked on a few MX13's and that was the issue on those also. He tightened the oil sensor just a little. And it worked right. -
Just got the oil changed in this mx13. Put 44.6 qts of Delo in.
About 10psi oil pressure.
Mileage is 58750
The idiot dinging bell is going off saying Low oil pressure and shut ranging down immediately.
How do you fix this?
