How much should a company driver be earning running between Toronto and Montreal? My company is paying 40 cents per mile.

At least .45, otherwise you're working for a bottom feeder piece of garbage.

we run Flatbed and pay $.55 - $.65/mile. $.40 seems low

.40 is fair if you're getting paid well for other things such as wait time, load/unload...

If you're just paid mileage and nada much else, I'd be looking elsewhere!

Um, might also depend on your level of experience.

Here is something to think about......paid by the mile equals nothing more than being paid percentage of revenue....trust me, that is how they come up with your cpm.

Here is something else to think about.....how much revenue can a company turn with that shiny new tractor ( limited to about 4 yrs). Now how much revenue can a company turn with a good well paid and and well looked after driver ( limited to about 30 yrs).

Yet all of their investment is to equipment....funny eh?

40 cents, I never heard such low rate.

well I am an O/O. I would say 48 cpm for dry van, plus waiting hour, plus extra delivery, plus safety bonus, plus no-fault inspection paid, that will be fair to me. 50 cpm for reefer.

Ive been paid .46 but anything higher approaches rarified stratosphere where drivers die against the ceiling of too #### much pay when three illegals still picking lice from beards will run three trucks for that much per mile.

Ive seen this too many times before in my trucking life. No one wants to pay my fat american ### what it's worth.
