Man these pan handlers are horrible in Columbia sc. I got approached by 2 already they both wanted to shine my tanks. But when I first pulled in the first one wanted to shine my wheels until he saw I had white ones. Then he wanted to do my tanks. Then he went to asking me for a dollar. I told him he should give me a dollar he didnt like that. The second one told me he was hungry i just walked away. He did try to sell it though by rubbing his belly.

I was in Little Rock at the petro, some guy was trying to sell me movies so he could buy some country fried steaks for him and his wife, told him no, then he just asks if he can have a couple dollars and I told him no again. About 45 minutes later I was up to the entrance by the fuel islands and that same guy is being hand cuffed and walked away by the officer.

So I was getting ready to leave Columbia this morning and the same 2 guys were out there begging for money. And soon as I got to the truckstop in Virginia today one was right on me asking for money.

I always tell them, "Sorry, I don't get paid until tomorrow. I'm broke too". Works everytime.

I just ignore them. They try to start telling me their sob stories and I just cut them off and walk away.

It must be my disposition>I haven't been bothered in years!

if they are really hungry ask them to step inside and buy them a meal 1 out of 100 might take you up on that most are just professional beggars

I never offered a meal but I have offered them food out of my cupboard but they rarely take it.
