Well, I (That's right, me, the guy who said he would go flip burgers before running one) am getting an elog. It will only be activated when we have to go out of state, as long as I stay in California I will keep my precious loose leaf book.

My issue is this; It's a JJ Keller system and they want a copy of my drivers license. Is this really necessary? Why? I don't quite understand, can someone please explain? I had an AOBR for my own truck, that I never installed or activated and I don't recall them ever wanting my DL info. Is asking for it common among ELD providers?

I told my boss that if I get a single piece of junk mail, or any other kind of marketing from them, or if I find out that they shared or sold any of my information in any way I will be found at one of the local burger joints.

I don't think I'm paranoid, after all, they really are out to get me.

Even if you are a little paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not after you.

My Peoplenet has my DL# on it. Most of it is ##'s, but that's how they know that your user name is you and only you.

Thanks for the input and the ongoing inspiration. I was feeling really pissy about it earlier today, then I dropped by your thread for a minute and realized just how good I really do have it. It's like I get fed cream with a silver spoon while you have to eat #### with a plastic fork.

Just an fyi. Part of the eld regulation requires a named account per driver tied to that drivers cdl. No matter who you go to, at least the license number is needed.
