Well, I (That's right, me, the guy who said he would go flip burgers before running one) am getting an elog. It will only be activated when we have to go out of state, as long as I stay in California I will keep my precious loose leaf book.
My issue is this; It's a JJ Keller system and they want a copy of my drivers license. Is this really necessary? Why? I don't quite understand, can someone please explain? I had an AOBR for my own truck, that I never installed or activated and I don't recall them ever wanting my DL info. Is asking for it common among ELD providers?
I told my boss that if I get a single piece of junk mail, or any other kind of marketing from them, or if I find out that they shared or sold any of my information in any way I will be found at one of the local burger joints.
I don't think I'm paranoid, after all, they really are out to get me.
