You're positive the trailer wasn't damaged prior to it being left at truck stop?
Lots and lots of equipment gets damaged at that precise moment when it's not attended for some reasonMadScientist, Pamela1990, autopaint and 5 others Thank this. -
Check with the truck stop to see if they have video cameras. If you havent left yet, check with other drivers to see if they have dash cams (or at east walk around & look at windshields for dash cams).
Used my dash cam video just last week to help get a time line for a girl whose car got hit in our parking area.
If you'll name the truck stop & location, someone here may have been there last night with a dash cam.Pamela1990, Puppage, VinceBlack and 1 other person Thank this. -
!. How much was the damage?
2. What does it say in your "contract" or Driver's handbook as to how much do you pay for damage to the vehicle?
3. Are you a company driver(W-2), L/O, or 1099 driver?Pamela1990 Thanks this. -

I'm confused.
I have never had a company say I was responsible for repairs, whether my fault or not.Studebaker Hawk, Bean Jr., p608 and 1 other person Thank this. -
One of the many reasons I get permission first to leave equipment unattended on a trip.
MadScientist and alds Thank this. -
