I was sitting in the dock for 20 minutes. Left parking lights on. Now truck won't start. Brand new batteries. Is it likelier that it's my fault or something with the truck?

You should be able to leave your lights on for a few hours without issue. Definitely more than 20 minutes

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

No, you should be able to leave the parking lights on over the weekend on a 34 or whatever and still be ok. there are 3-4 batteries at least. Something else is draining the batteries.

It's the truck... you can leave the parking light on for 10 + hours and the truck will start just fine

Check the voltage of your batteries, if low I would wonder if your alternator charging properly? What is is voltage at the alternator and more importantly what is the voltage at the batteries? I would be checking voltage at each battery & see if it is different then any other battery.

Yeah, I had recently had all new batteries and a starter. The starter is freezing up occasionally and so either it's a junk starter, there's a short in the wiring or they didn't wire it correctly. Thanks everyone

i recently changed my starter myself.
After I got everything back together when I tried to start, the starter did a few revolutions then it stopped and the whole dash went dark. Key off, back on, no computers, dash lights flashing.
Rechecked everything was wired up right. Cleaned up the battery connections. Worked good after that.
