What about just adding a gravel extension to your driveway?

Get a load of shell 75 bucks you dont have to excavate just dump and have your neighbor go over it. Or if your broke get mulch but be ready to redo it every now and then.

asphalt millings from where the state has ground the black top. still has all the tar in it that will help it pack down in the hot sun. call a paving company to see who has some. its cheep cause its already been paid 4 and is dust free when you drive on it.

I'm going to assume (usually a bad idea) that your steer tires are sinking in since your bobtail? Anyway look in your area and see if there are any military surplus dealers and see if they have any old landing mat for sale. Plenty strong and will not sink. Not sure nowadays what it sells for but 20 years ago we used to get it for temporary helicopter landing pads and to run the fuel/tanker trucks on to get to the helicopters and at that time we were getting it for $25.00 per 8' X 8' section. It's a very heavy dense rubber type material about 2" thick but they also had some steel stuff although we never used any of that. It's very heavy though and you'll probably need your neighbors tractor to maneuver it. We used a mid size bobcat to move it around and more than once sunk the bobcat trying to position the pads. I wouldn't hesitate to run a bobtail or even a light loaded tractor/trailer on it. We ran 10 wheel tanker trucks with 3,000 gallon fertilizer mixing tanks on it in some very soft places and never had a problem with it.
Edit - Just went and looked at several places online and it seems as though the rubber type stuff is no longer around, all I could find is the steel and aluminum stuff. Looking at prices it would probably be less expensive and look better to just put in a paved driveway -
TSC, Tractor Supply Co., has some thick reinforced rubber mats.
