hey guys. I got hired on with a company and they had yard for me to park my truck in for free in my city. After a couple years they decided to get rid of the yard and leave me on my own to find parking for the company truck. All the places I can find where I won't get my car or truck towed cost 100+ dollars a month. I don't feel like I need to take that paycut when I got hired on expecting to have a place to park my truck during the weekends and 3 days during the week. Is it fair for me ask the company to pay for my parking?
    Thank you

If you was to park at the terminal, how much gas money would you spend going back and forth in that month ?
I knew an old fellow that his terminal was at a distance, he paid out of his pocket a place to park the “Company” truck and trailer. He said that the money he spent in gas for the commute every day and traveling in traffic was worth every cent he spent on renting a spot behind his backyard.

Dang that is some expensive parking. I would at least see if the company would split it with you.

    Park it in the hood.

They'll find you a new spot in about 2 weeks.

What is better for you. Pay for truck parking or driving your car to the terminal.
    $100.00 a month doesn't sound too bad.
Depends on the distance of your commute.
I would ask boss to pay, but wouldn't be disappointed if the answer was no.

If you asked be prepared for the boss to insist you park at the terminal without a discussion.
    Chose your option wisely.

I pay $100 to park at a companies terminal. I'm also an O/O though.
There's one guy that wants $185.

$100 is about the going rate.

So do you pay for it yourself. Or do you pay for gas and wear and tear? What happens if the car breaks down?

Cheapest I found near me was 300 a month. If I could find parking near me for 100 a month I wouldn't park at my house anymore.

Probably depends on your location. I"m sure parking in the Dakotas isn't cheap. I think it was around $800 last time i was out there. Before the oil crash.
