Passed my road test today. I also have Hazmat,tank,doubles&triples and metal coil endorsments. So the look begins. Im all set to go to Roehl on the 12th of Jan. Do you guys think it's posible for me to land a local job with 20 years of driving a propane straight truck being a newbi?? NYS Lic is clean.

Look agene, "NYS-CDL LICENSE METAL COIL ENDORSMENT ("M") as defined by NYS

"Metal coil shipments which weigh 2,268 kgs, (5000 lbs.) or more, individually or bundled together.

I was told by the folks at NYS, Roehl and the commercial school I attented the "M" is required by the state of NY. And only NY.

I dont know everything, but I know I took a specific test to get this endorsment. Cost me $5 bucks.

Good question, heres the answer, on NYS lic if you look in the right lower part of your of your (or) the lic you will see the word CLASS, thats where the "M" for the motorcycle and the class lic you have will be. In the CENTER lower part of a NYS lic you will see the abbreviation "END" (endorsment) thats where your endorsments will be. It looks like this:

NAME
ADDRESS
TOWN, STATE

SEX/ M EYES BL HT 5-09 CLASS AM
END/XMT REST (THIS IS RESTRICTIONS)

X=HAZMAT AND TANK M=METAL COIL T=DOUBLE/TRIPLE

This is exactly what my lic looks like.
