Companies can't afford to pay drivers more. We live in a capitalist country, it's not about the worker making a decent wage.

I'm not going to hold my breath. If drivers really want this industry to get better, setting aside differences and sticking together is going to be necessary. Also, listening to people that are pro-labor rather than pro-business is going to have to happen too.

Drivers can demand what they want to work. Companies will pay what it takes to get the drivers they want. Just like shippers pay what they have to to get their product moved.

Capitalism is the only moral structure in the world. Anyone that says different is a commie pinko scum that can move to Cuba and see how that works for them.

 

And the former Soviet Union, particularly the part where 66 million souls perished for crimes the didn't commit and Ukrainians were starved into cannibalism.

 

It's the reality unfortunately. Everyone keeps saying protest and stick together and demand this and demand that. Not realistic.... especially given the speed of the country, technology take over, and people have families to look after. Wages are barely enough to live on.
