Well yeah stuff happens, but you intentionally blew an OOS order, most aren't going to have sympathy for you there, you did it to yourself.

    "Stuff happens".

Yes. Like blowing a tire unexpectedly, having a bird hit your window, having another truck back into yours while you're in the sleeper.

Blowing an OOS order does NOT qualify as "stuff happens".

It qualifies as "a deed of moronic proportions".

If I had to pick one station to be the MOST careful with, it's Childress.
    They don't play games there.
I'm surprised they were so kind as to write you for an HOS violation in the first place.

Loves is hiring. Can you clean showers?

Man I can't believe you use the phrase stuff happens. I am no saint not by any means, But I would never ever blow an OOS that is just dumb! he was waiting for you to do that. He gave you a chance to sit quietly and walk away unscathed and YOU blew it.

The more I read this thread the more I'm in disbelief. I remember when I started, jack ribbiting was routine. Any employer would tell you to haul a-- as soon as the scales closed. But this was long before computers. The dot cops were pretty much 8 - 4. No computers, no data bases. So to the OP I ask you what were you thinking? Did you think the Out of service order would just vanish into thin air. This is just astonishing. Hate to rub it in. But you posted it. You better go get fitted for a paper hat
