Pennsylvania Turnpike 10/17

The article says 86 miles closed between breezewood and new stanton. New stanton is some 60 miles west of your screenshot. The #### they close that much of the highway for if the article is correct?

Your picture shows like 20 miles of highway closed.

Everybody hurry hurry! Yes the comments about stupid drivers..sad but getting more common that they are driving with us out here in big trucks. What is up with some of these so called drivers?

 

Mostly just young guys that haven't learned the proper and safe way to drive a car yet. That and the cowboys who will be a menace until they die.

With the PA Turnpike, there aren't many viable alternative routes. Once you are on the road, your basically stuck until the mishap is cleared. BUT, they could clear one lane farthest from the incident and let some traffic thru. If you watch, they have apparatus parked in lanes for no obvious reason as the incident is way off to one side.

 

Thats what i asked last week. No answer. I think it was bad reporting because texans google map shows green and red up to the bedford interchange.
