    Shortage of truck parking bs. Once you reach your destination make your delivery get you’re next load and be on you’re way. I never stay in one place for long. I make my delivery and I leave all truck drivers should do the same.

    Most truck stop owners/ managers never bother to see what trucks are there and for how long.

    If you rode with me you’d see I manage my time very well. But no location should always be full.

    Last Friday at about noon I got fuel at the QT in Catoosa and backed in to a parking spot. My truck didn’t move until 9am on Monday. I spoke to the manager and got the ok to leave my truck so I could spend the weekend at the Hard Rock. Luckily you weren’t around to have my truck towed out because you’ve decided it’s unacceptable to park at a truckstop for a few days.

    The men and women in this profession including myself need and deserve a parking space when their shift is over.

    I needed a space when my shift was over, too. So what makes your need any more or less important than mine?

    The best solution would be to pay for the time you’re parked at a truck stop. But most in this industry also feel they’re entitled to free parking on private property too.

    That's great that your company keeps you moving like that. But for many it's not like that. You see it here all the time, drivers getting low miles and left sitting when they'd rather be running. Where would you have them go to sit but at a truck stop.

    My need is not greater than anybody else’s what I’m saying is that after your 10 hr break or 34 hr reset is up it’s time to get moving again. Parking for 3 days takes away a spot from someone who needs it. Once my 10 hr break or 34 hr reset is up I start driving again, why can’t everyone do the same. If you don’t have a load after your break which may be the case with some drivers I don’t think that’s the case with all otherwise there would be more spaces available. Also if you’re company doesn’t keep you moving and making money maybe you should find another that does.
