That's why we factor in deadhead into rate for all miles.
A few weeks ago over a weekend I deadheaded over 200 miles for a load, might sound bad but the load was 540 miles and paid $1544 and was light so no big deal.

There's endless cheap freight here no doubt, because nobody wants it and it sits. That's likely everywhere including Landstar, Mercer and etc though.
There's good loads here but they don't last long.

Biggest reason I became an IC is for a better lifestyle. I would never consider teaming unless it was with Angeline Jolie lol

I admit I haven't had any issues with empties the wrong direction but now that you mention it the last two I've had to fetch have been at a Walmart store.

Hopefully a bit of bright news for the future...

Also, I can confirm that they are not allowing new IC's. I was approved some time ago and will be going to orientation next week on the 14th. I was told several times that the delay was due to them only being allowed to replace current IC's that leave.

It's been about two months now. I was beginning to think they weren't going to let me come over.

Did Schneider lose an account they had with Kmart? The store by my house used to have strictly Schneider trailers backed into the docks, now it's strictly swift?
