Well not really. If a customer doesn't unload trailers fast enough to have an empty ready for you that's not Schneider's fault or them trying to run you.
Like I know some customers where the load says "drop and hook" but they don't unload trailers on weekends and usually run out of empties. It's on me if I want to take that chance on weekends with those customers.
Biggest issue is when you have no empty and they try to send you on a wild empty chase. It doesn't happen often for me but it does happen. If it's too silly I'll reject the load or find my own empty in route from a location that doesn't ship.
If you always book live unloads then you don't have to worry about it but you might have to worry about waiting forever to be unloaded lol.

When they had me grab the empty at Walmart they told me not to take a trailer out of the previous customer because they needed to build a pool. Well when I got there at 2200 to drop the guard was kinda insistent I take an empty....I relayed the message I was given and he reluctantly let me bobtail out.
Normally I probably would have just taken the empty to save the hassle and running the risk of the empty not being at Walmart or used for storage....but that night I was willing to take the chance because let's face it....I didn't want to try to find parking after 2200 in New Hampshire with a trailer attached.Home_on_wheels and drvrtech77 Thank this. -

Schneider had a lot of those DTS Walmart loads for Christmas and that's why all these trailers are now sitting at their stores and they're having a go get them... When I showed up at that Walmart near Charlotte they were starting to load our trailer as storage till I told them that I need the trailer and they took everything back off of it

I paid a guy $20 today to unload a trailer instead of him taking lunch. The customer had no MT's...
Saved me 120 mile roundtrip to get a supposedly empty trailer...
The guy was so happy to do it, that $20 went a long way for him...
Roll on...FatDaddy and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
