Something is going down with F2F. There's a huge thread about them slow paying some drivers, so not sure what's going on over there.

Rolled into a shipper today at 0830 with an 1100 appt. I'm one of those people who say, "hey, if you're gonna wait, might as well wait here and maybe you'll get lucky."
So the dude says, "well, you are early. This isn't supposed to pick up until Monday. Hold on let me check."
So, I wait about 5 or 10 minutes while he e-mails people, then he says, "ok, go wait in the yard, we'll come get you."
So, I go wait in the yard. There is NO ONE there but me.......NO ONE!!! I sit, and watch the package boys come and go. I sit another hour and watch a dude bring in a couple of MTY's and drop them and leave.....and I sit, and I sit......all the while, I'm the ONLY ONE THERE!!! I sit and watch the employees take a smoke break.......nothing, just nothing.
Then, at 1045, a different dude comes out and tells me to back into door 3 and he'll get me loaded.
Was loaded and gone at 1130. A 45 minute load turned into a 3 hour ordeal just so someone could show me who was in charge.........

Why do people have to be such azzholes for no good reason? Oh, and when I left, then there was NOBODY there.

    My, my

I forgot how much this state sucks to drive through.
I'm just driving through here with cheap heavy freight, it was a mistake going to NC. Freight is crap there and is a blackhole to lure you into cheap Southeast regional which I'm not falling for.
I'm going back to midwest and staying.
Freight is down too much to be messing with sorry places like North Carolina.
A year ago i got a load from Charlotte to Chicago for nearly $1.90, I'm lucky just to get back to the midwest for $1.30 now.

the bad news is, the most direct way from the Carolina's to the Midwest is via 77, which ain't much better. Your best bet might be trying to go West to Atlanta or Birmingham or Knoxville, then North from there.

    good luck, Whipper
