    Attention: Fuel Haulers.

It's been said elsewhere here that the best jobs are (generally, at least) with the private carriers.

With that in mind--who do you think offers the best money, perks & opportunity (especially long-term)--Pilot/Flying J, or Love's?

Also--which of those two do you think does a better job keeping up their equipment?

As best as you can--please explain your answer.

I haul DEF for Pilot/Flying J. I don't know too much about the fuel haulers here, but I believe we all get paid the same rate of pay.

This is by far the highest paying job I've ever had.

As far as equipment goes I've never seen a rickety looking combo from either of those fleets

It’s roughly the same for both, generally speaking. It could be quite different depending on what area your in though. I’d suggest talking to drivers from both companies that work in the area you’re interested in. Definitely don’t make a decision based on info from recruiters/managers.

Does either carrier require you to be clean shaven, vaccinated, or take a sleep apnea test?

    Clean shaven. No
    Vaccinated. No
Sleep apnea test? If it's noted on the DOT medical exam, as they require a new one to work for them.

Pay may differ by region. Some regions also have sign on bonuses.
I get $32 per hour and $48 per hour after 40 hours per week.
Usually about 60 hours per week. I work Monday through Friday, the fuel truck drivers work different schedules.
Do the math but weekly checks run 2K and up.

Depends on the region. In Northern California loves makes around 30-32 an hour but they don’t work a ton. Maybe 40-50 hours a week. Pilot drivers make $28 an hour with OT after 40. Both have nice equipment. Mostly freightliners, with loves having some kw’s mixed in.
