Pilot with an oil well in the middle of the lot? TX?

Just on my way home from TX and I'm trying to remember where this Pilot was.

I haven't been to it in years, but I think it's somewhere in TX. I thought it might be on 30 but I didn't see it so maybe it was on 35?

There's a BBQ across the highway from it if that helps.

No, it was the only one I've seen with an oil well IN the lot.

One of those big counter balanced ones? All night squeaking and groaning.

    It was actually rather pleasant.

I'm thinking Tyler too. Has a McDonald's. Hard to get in and out of. Name of BBQ place is Bodacious. Overpriced for what it is.

    Thanks.
I don't use Pilots anymore because my company buys fuel from the other network.
Still I had a vague recollection it was in north east Texas somewhere but I wasn't seeing it on 30 anywhere. (Plus the terrain didn't look familiar)

Tyler was my 1st night in Texas in my rookie year. Being from the Northeast, Texas had achieved sort of a mythical reputation. (Tourist tell me similar stories about Times Square)

So my 1st time in Texas, and my 1st impression? "There's an oil rig in the parking lot!"

    Awesome! Perfect!

When we sold the house in southeast New Mexico, one of the selling points was that you only saw one oil well from all around the property. Rare distinction in that area of thousands upon thousands of pump jacks... :)
