Because most of these fad "eat this not that" style diets are absolute garbage pushed by either clueless idiots, or someone trying to sell you something. Its why so many make you sick or feel like ####.
Sure there are people who a no carb diet makes far healthier As their biology is more suited to it. There are others that it literally kills due to a lack of proper nutrition. The truth is that unless you have an underlying medical condition of some sort that requires a specific type of diet.
Just eating less, eating healthier, avoiding hyper processed foods, moving around at least some every day, avoiding excessive caffine and sugar, and skipping the mcproduct in favor of #### near anything else is going to make you FAR healthier then some fad eat this not that diet.cke, rollin coal, Trucker61016 and 4 others Thank this. -
In case it wasn’t mentioned. Fiber helps process carbs. The term net carbs applies. Other ingredients to avoid if possible is High fructose corn syrup and modified corn starch. They are in everything.
hope not dumb twucker, cke and bryan21384 Thank this. -
I have a monitor. I seldom have to use it. I manage the carbs quite well......in fact you just eat the way you want to. I think we all can manage our health just fine.Bus_driver, Trucker61016 and Ddh77777 Thank this.

I think this is really what it comes down to. Most of the time when we make unhealthy choice, we acknowledge on some level that we're not prioritizing our health like we should be.hope not dumb twucker, Bus_driver and bryan21384 Thank this.

That's just wrong and honestly I will not do without spaghetti or pasta. ... you're forgetting that you do need some carbs to avoid spiking cortisol which also can trigger insulin resistance... anything in extreme is not good... including starving yourself of nutrients.bryan21384 Thanks this.

Nobody will ever convince me potatoes (in moderation of course) are bad for you. This country was built on meat and potatoes. I love a baked potato once in a while. Love em mashed too. But I don't eat potatoes every frikken day...

Liver manufactures the needed sugar for the body. You can eat meat only for years and your blood glucose will be normal thanks to liver. And you can get all your nutrients from animal products and low carb vegetables. You don't need rice and potatoes

I believe moderation is the keyword in this discussion. I don’t see it being any healthier, eating exclusively sardines, and bottom feeder rations like that all the time. I also see a downside to eating exclusively greasy burgers, etc., all the time. I believe God made all the food in this world for us to eat, he just expected us to use common sense in how we use it. And how much we consume. I have some relatives and acquaintances that are forevermore chasing diet fads, and they’re not the healthiest people you’d meet either. Definitely not cheerful either. I think I’d rather die young and happy, then live long and be grouchy.
