Please help on a 2001 International 4700

    I have a dump truck that when gas pedal goes past a certain point it goes into limp mode and check engine light comes on …..to get pedal response you have to cut truck off and back on and then it does the same thing. I have tried different mechanics. No one knows anything. Can anyone help please?…
    2001 international 4700 with 7.6 navistar engine

    Most likely it’s a bad accelerator pedal.

    Change the accelerator pedal, it has a pedal position sensor on it that measures how much pedal input it’s receiving and sends the signal to the ECM.

    The pedal itself gets worn out over time and starts giving erratic signals or no signal at all, hence no pedal response.

    Thank you. we did that and it did not fix the problem. Should we have reset anything or did something else in addition to replacing it?
    Should we have used an international brand part? We used a cheaper one…

    It’s possible the Aftermarket part is causing the issue still, but maybe not.

    Who’s the manufacturer of the Aftermarket part?

    Actually it was international, I thought it was an off brand but I was wrong... I have attached an image. Please review it and tell me what you think. Thank you for helping us. I have to figure this out.
    Any other ideas?
