I was detained in Kansas because of the dispatch's mistake. They said they would make sure I got a detention pay which is $10.00 per hour but they still haven't paid me. I waited 17 hrs. for the next load they could get me at the same company but they only want to pay me $70.00. What's a driver to do? Somebody please help! No wonder they give new drivers a $3,000 dollar sign on bonus. Cause they know the driver isn't gonna be staying long.

They probably figured you had 7 hours available to drive, or 7 hours on your 14, then needed a 10 hour break. Thats the way it is in trucking.

What to do is find another job because where you're at now won't get any better.Whats their excuse for not paying what they owe you?

No, I was to pick up a loaded trailer going back to Richmond Ind. But dispatch forgot to verify the load with Hills Dog Food so they gave it to another company. I was told by Pohl to wait on another load that I would get detention pay for the mistake but they still haven't made it right. That's not the first lie from them either.

I guess I shouldn't have taken the job with them. To all out there, BEWARE of Pohl Transportation. They said I was part of their family but I feel like the child that no one wants to talk about.

Yea tomorrow at 9am I'm gonna call them and ask to talk to the owner. Maybe he can fix the problem. I still can't believe they treat their new drivers this way.

Can anybody out there give me some advise? Or is there anything I can do legally about it?

Ever heard the phrase.... Gotta Crack A Few Eggs To Make An Omelet... ? If this is not corrected within a few days, I would encourage you to swing by the office and rationalize things with the boss with a "Tire Thumper" in your hand.

Don't get your hopes up the owner will do anything. He probably encouages the staff to be the way they are. Many times the owner is in kahoots with the very ones you have issues with.
