Thats about the normal price for an uncompleted glider from a dealer.

Oh ok for a second there I thought someone was selling them for 97 complete. When I was talking to my local peterbilt dealer he quoted me about 90k for rolling 389.

That's a normal price of a roller , for $115k you can get it all but engine trans and shafts,

The shelves in this Aerodyne are identical to my previous 60" flat top Ruthless. I'm looking at that now, as I'm getting ready to do the chopping this week on the front of the wall. I don't see any way to save those shelves, as the seats will slide right into the space they occupy now. I have to figure out a way to make it look nice in the end, and keep the control panel for the heat, a/c, and Wabesto heater all in tact. Probably have my carpenter buddy who's doing the plywood floorboard project refurbish for me do some finish trimming in pine or oak or something nice to make it look good when it's all said and done...gotta look at that in the end.

I hate like heck to lose any storage, especially shelving, but there's really no way around it. Once it's cut, I can assess it better and maybe add some custom shelving that misses the seats...I really want to keep the top shelves for all practical purposes, they're too handy to remove.

Another thing I've been looking at is, the standing room between the bed base and the front wall is a lot smaller than the 60" flat top I had....the mattress is wider in these Aerodynes. I'm toying with the idea of cutting the aluminum panel that extends out from the mattress to the closet now, and making it a narrower mattress like I had (40" I think it was,) and gain that extra standing room to get dressed, etc. I don't need that big, wide mattress as they have in it now.

Where did your buddy have his Unibilted, do you know? I'd like to find out for my own curiosity. I called Elizabeth Truck Center originally for a quote for this job, and he wouldn't give me a solid quote...he said they "lost too much money on too many of them..." so they only would do this by time and materials. At $115.00/hr....that'd add up pretty quick I'd say. Bad enough I had to spend about $1,600.00 for the two flimsy aluminum frame rings and a rubber boot already...

I heard of guys having ETC do this, and heard they did them for $2,500.00 and I was all about that, until I talked to the service mgr. a couple weeks ago. With me and my buddy that owns the shop I'm in, I don't think we'll have 10 hours into this whole ordeal. It's easy when you pay attention and stay focused and WORK, instead of taking breaks and doing other stuff in between.
