Friend of mine picked up his new ride today.
2018 525cummins, RTLO18918B, 18/20/46 on neway, 4.10 against 12R24.5, heavy single rail with a liner from the cab back, gonna get his body from his last truck mounted up on it soon: 22' all steel flatbed w moffett.

Apparently they shorted him the dummy stack and some lights. It'll look a lot cleaner with two stacks imo

    Pretty Truck!
Neway seems to be the air ride choice in the heavy application, i seen a Tri axle Pete with the darker heavy metallic with fire red metallic fenders, looked nice too.
Any reason why he didn't look into a glider?

    Ruthless and Oxbow Thank this.

They use dealer for all maintenance and repairs, and didn't have the need to go with a glider: I did suggest one.

Ready to haul (disregard the fly by night cardboard numbers on the sleeper window, my stickers aren’t done yet)

You buy it, you get to make the call. He bought that: his call.

Can't force a man to make a better decision, only provide the information and let him make the call. The old "horse to water" adage applies to men, too.

Ok. Just couldn’t imagine buying a nice new truck with all that headache attached to the motor when a glider is cheaper to build and maintain

    Ruthless Thanks this.

I agree about the maintenance but the prices are almost or even with a new truck, i have been looking at them for years and noticed they have gone up more this year then previous years..

Oxbow, BoostedTeg and Ruthless Thank this.

Yeah it all varies on application. I can see the prices rising with demand nowadays

    Oxbow Thanks this.
