Yep, lots of guys here use the acerts to build an engine with.
I keep hearing the 5EK's are junk, but mine has been a good one, may blow tomorrow, who knows.

I screwed up. I have a friend that rolled his 98 pete over, with a low mile on rebuilt 5EK, lower miles on the 18 spd, and 46 double locker rears on air trac from a 2007. I found him a cab and sleeper, and everything he needed, which he bought and had a shop swap it over.
the shop went belly up before finishing it, so he just bought a new truck and offered it to me for 15,000, which I turned down.
I got to thinking last night, I don't want a pete, but have a use for all the components, so called him this morning. yep it is already gone. lol

 

here is my new T880 dump when it was about a week old and first time hooked to the trailer with a 315 cat excavator on top .

 

ive been searching all over the web for dealerships in the states that will fully custom your trucks like Peterbilt Steve does out in Tulsa at rush truck center . Is there any KW dealerships that will custom build you a truck so I don’t have to buy a truck then take it to a third party to do all my custom work ?

Please somebody point me in the right direction please

 

I would imagine any Kenworth dealer will do it, he just adds accessories and maybe a little custom paint if not done at the factory. Start by calling your local dealer.

 

10.4 reason I ask because this is my first time owning a KW and I just don’t see no dealer promoting it so your saying pretty much any dealer will do what he does ?

 

I would sure think so, you’re offering them an opportunity to make money. If you can’t find a dealership that will do what you want, I can give you a contact.
